Starting a new year, seeking HIS face!

We are getting ready for a new year, with this comes lots of decisions.  We surely don't want to step out of GOD'S will for us, JESUS please lead!  We have decided to fast and seek JESUS'S will for our path!  Last year we fasted for 40 days, it was amazing how GOD was so good to us.  This year we have heard the LORD say that we needed to fast 40 days again!  We are praying about so much.  JESUS has shown both of us that Hunter will live with us, we just don't know when or how.  Is he going to Africa with us?  My sweet sister is still being tormented by satan.  I am praying for complete deliverance for her!  There is so much family that I have, and Jay has that aren't walking with King JESUS.  We have to sell our house before we go to Africa.  We need HIS help!  We can't do this without HIM!  We need to have a lot more prayer time this time than we did last time.  And I am going to give up facebook for 40 days as well.  I will make time to blog everyday though, I need to keep up with what JESUS shares with me.  Pray for me.  :)  We start tomorrow, New Years Eve.  Which will also be spent downtown in the Farrish Street District!  Praise the LORD!  :)

New Beginning......

I haven't written in a little bit.  We have had a lot going on, sweet JESUS sent a team here to Jackson on an outreach from Iris Harvest School.  Can I just say that it has been an amazing week!  HE even sent Kaleb and Daniel here who 13 and 19 to encourage my children!  We had a couple of really good prayer walks with them.  One we went back to the square, and JESUS built on something that HE had already told me.  In that place HE told me once to stay on the path and Jay was walking on, and I thought that we had stepped off the path, but when we came into the clearing, I realized that we had been on the path all along.  HE told me this Tuesday when we went back there that I had been on the path that HE had put me on my whole life.  I just threw my garbage on HIS path.  We were where HE put us.  The things that we thought were our decisions, have always been HIS decisions. We had an awesome prayer walk with them and Chris and Terry on Saturday evening.  We were walking down the street and look up and there is Edward!  Edward is a neighbor who I have the amazing opportunity to pray for when I get to see him, he goes to church with us!  So here we are in his neighborhood on a Saturday night!  His brother Roger asked Hunter and I to come and pray for his wife.  She has congestive heart failure.  It was an amazing time!  Thank YOU JESUS!  Last night (Monday the 19th of December 2011).  Jay and I shared our story with the team from Iris, and a family who is here from Kansas city.  It was so amazing.  It really showed me that GOD can and does take hopeless situations and fixes them!  It has given us a new vision, and we are praying for a new beginning......

What has seemed hopeless for a long time was just spoken out last night.  With GOD all things are possible.  We are a family, Jay, Hunter, Gabby, Maggy and I.  Last night, GOD really told me that we haven't been unified, yet.  But that HE is in charge of restoration.  We are believing that Hunter will be on that plane with us!  I don't know how, or when, but we are believing!  And HE says knock and the door will be opened, seek and we shall find!  JESUS, I believe that YOU want Hunter to live with us, so we began a couple of days ago just praying for that.  Can I just say that I have an amazing peace that JESUS will and is working it out right now!  WOW!  I never thought that I would EVER say that!  JESUS changes EVERYTHING!  HE doesn't leave one stone in our hearts uncovered!  I really don't know how, there is so many obstacles with Hunter,  Misty, school, he trains for football all summer long for school.  But I just feel like JESUS has made a deposit that he will live here, and we will be completely unified into a family, one family! WOW.  Thank YOU JESUS, it will be a miracle and great testimony of how YOU fix things!!

Last night after we shared our testimony of how far JESUS has brought us, the team prayed over us.  Bianca said that the LORD showed her a vision of us being in the water, and we weren't just ankle deep or knee deep or waist deep or shoulder deep, but that the water was over our heads, and we couldn't even talk because we were completely immersed in the water.  She said that water was always used to represent the Holy Spirit, and that we would be completely immersed in Holy Spirit!  Thank YOU JESUS!  Baptism of the Holy Spirit is something that we have been praying for!  Also, Kathy Herring was just giggling over and over, she said that JESUS gave her a picture of us, and we were like Santa Claus and Miss Santa Claus, and we were traveling all around, all over, and we were giving out gifts.  She said that GOD was raising us up to be strong leaders.  Sweet JESUS, we are YOURS completely!  I am not worthy!  But with everything I have, I love YOU!  Mr. Frank Herring, wanted to pray over us too, and he said that within the next six months of our lives to just take a deep breath, that some days we would just have to remember to breathe.  There would be some really hard days.  But that he saw like the sandals of peace on our feet.  And that we were walking to this big wall and we were thinking how are we going to get through that!?  And JESUS was just saying believe!  He said when we walked to the wall that we would touch the wall with those sandals of peace and as soon as they touched that wall we would walk right through the wall.  Then we would realize that it wasn't that hard.  He said we would be growing leaps and bounds.  Yesterday I had a real excitement in my Spirit all day, sometimes we don't see the battle, but it is always there.  I feel like Spiritually there was a victory yesterday, or last night.  I mean, Jay and I stood up and shared together.  Just going back through what JESUS has done in and through us!  WOW!  When we got home, I just felt The LORD say, accept the prayers, pray and accept the things that were said over you.  And so, our family was all in the bathroom and we just agreed to accept what had been said over us last night.  LORD, all we want is YOU, to do what YOU want, whatever that means.

Also, this morning I had a dream, I am going to pray about it today.  I felt like it was from The LORD, and I kept getting the words over and over, We Will Go is a good idea, but what if you settle for good and I have a better plan for you.  LORD, please don't let me mess up your plans today!  Where ever you want us!  Whatever that means!  We just want to be in YOUR will completely!  Selling this house, going to Africa, those are things that weren't in our plans for our lives.  Of course, neither was Hunter living with us.  Sweet JESUS, we are YOURS!!!  Oh how I love YOU!

JESUS always is teaching us.  Today as Jay and I got out to do some errands, we had to go to Petsmart to pick up some dog food.  The person in front of us was having a problem checking out and the lady in the other side was just standing there.  I knew her, she was Rednecks obedience training teacher.  I told Jay, she won't remember me, it has been too long ago.  She looked over at Jay and said, "Sir, I can get you over here."  As we went over to her line I said, I know you don't remember me, but you taught my dog in obedience class.  She said, oh yes I do, your dog's name is Redneck.  WOW.  Then she told me that she never forgot me because I brought her a hamburger one day out of the blue.  I didn't even remember that until she brought it up.  She said that what I didn't know was that day she wasn't able to take a break or even get any lunch.  She said that she would not forget my hospitality and kindness towards her.  Funny thing about that time in my life is that I wasn't walking with the LORD at all.  But HE still used me to be kind to her.  I was king Nebuchadnezzar, and by the way he wasn't good at all.  He was very evil, but GOD used him anyway.  What GOD showed me today is that even when I didn't think that HIS hand was on me and my life, it was.

Today is my sweet sisters birthday.  And I asked JESUS to give me a scripture to pray over her, and HE gave me Psalm 91.  WOW.  Thank YOU JESUS.

We found a trim place today, and a good price on it.  Didn't get any just yet, but it won't be long.  Thank you JESUS for the joy that YOU have placed in my heart.  Life is better with JESUS.  HE is worth everything.  I am praying for more love.  That I will be able to give from the abundance of love that is in my heart.  Also, baptism of the Holy Spirit, for me and the rest of the family.  JESUS keeps saying go deeper.  I am here LORD, which way.  Show me how.  :)

12/6/2011

Had a busy day today.  GOD has been speaking still to me.  Parting the Red Sea, took a box of stuff to my mama's today.  It was good to see it go.  It wasn't that it was bad stuff, and it wasn't anything wrong with me having it.  But the more that I give away, the more freedom I get.  GOD is pursuing me still.  I don't understand why HE loves me.  I am so unworthy of HIS perfect love.

We spent some time with Chris today.  It was "crispy".  And we "chopped it up" for most of the afternoon.

GOD has still been speaking to me about Luke 5.  11 verses, speaking over and over.  Verse 4, in red, "Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish."  Verse 6, This time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! Verse 7, both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.  Verse 10, in red, "Don't be afraid!  From now on you will be fishing for people!"

JESUS is calling me to a deeper place with HIM.  HE is telling me where to go, not me telling HIM where I am going.  HE is leading, I am following HIS instructions.  When HE leads you can't go wrong!  There will be so much harvest that the nets will begin to tear!!  Filled with fish!  Or in HIS words, people!  On the point of being overwhelming, but HE says, DON'T BE AFRAID!  Just trust HIM, even when it looks weird!  The disciples had already been fishing all night!  They said, but LORD, we have already had our nets out all night, and we worked hard!  And if GOD says it it is so!  HE is telling me to go deeper, to trust HIM, HE is going to show me where to lower my nets.  And the blessing is going to be people, so many people that our boats will be on "the verge" of sinking, but we will not sink!  Thank YOU JESUS!  YOU lead my LORD, and we will follow!  :)  If GOD says it, it is so.

Going to start trim work tomorrow, satan has tried everything he can to prevent us from finishing what GOD said to do, but trim is the last thing.  Praying for HIS provision.  HE will provide!  Thank YOU JESUS!

12/4/2011

I felt the LORD telling me to write down the things that HE is placing into my heart.  There is so much that HE is speaking and I don't want to forget one single word of it!  So I am starting a blog.  Weird, I hope that I can keep up with it, I usually don't do very well with this kind of stuff.

Today the LORD put Luke 5 on my heart as we gathered as a group to pray.  I read it, then read it again and again.

1 One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee,[a] great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God. 2 He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. 3 Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon,[b] its owner, to push it out into the water. So he sat in the boat and taught the crowds from there.
4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Now go out where it is deeper, and let down your nets to catch some fish.”
5 “Master,” Simon replied, “we worked hard all last night and didn’t catch a thing. But if you say so, I’ll let the nets down again.” 6 And this time their nets were so full of fish they began to tear! 7 A shout for help brought their partners in the other boat, and soon both boats were filled with fish and on the verge of sinking.
8 When Simon Peter realized what had happened, he fell to his knees before Jesus and said, “Oh, Lord, please leave me—I’m too much of a sinner to be around you.” 9 For he was awestruck by the number of fish they had caught, as were the others with him. 10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed.
Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.

The fish were swimming all in the same place, maybe they were listening to HIM.  LORD, please let me be smarter than the fish and see YOU for ALL that YOU are!  There were so many fish the boats were about to sink!  It was so much blessing they could hardly contain it, and they were about to sink!  Aren't I too much of a sinner to be around JESUS?  Doesn't that prove that I DESPERATELY need HIM?  Without HIM I am nothing!  HIS Word says that I can't even breathe without HIS breath.  WOW.  We are going to fish for people!  HIS people!  What an honor!!!

Today was 13 years since my daddy died.  It was really hard at first, I was really upset.  I loved my daddy, still do a lot.  He was a great person, we went to church on Sunday, and sometimes on Wednesday night.  But I can't remember one conversation that we had about JESUS.  That really scares me.  When I went to church it wasn't for the right reasons.  After I wallowed on that for a bit, I realized that I didn't have my eyes on JESUS.  I asked HIM to forgive me and then I moved on to the living.  My daddy is gone and there is nothing that I can do to change anything about him or his life.  But there are other things that I can do!  I can pray for my family members that still don't know JESUS.  I can pray that they get to know HIM and HIS goodness!  Thank YOU JESUS for showing me how to change that negative energy into positive energy!  HE came for people!

The LORD reminded me today of shopping on black Friday.  As we were standing outside of Target at midnight one of the ladies from the YMCA where I used to work stood in line behind me.  She asked me what had been going on since I left there.  I shared with her how JESUS has called us to be missionaries, we have been wrestling with HIM since late 2008, but we have been learning to be obedient now, and that we are going to missionary school in June in Mozambique, Africa.  GOD had provided all that we needed to complete the remodeling of our house that we had been working on for 7 years and we had incurred no debt in finishing it.  She told me that she was glad that GOD hadn't called her to do that.  Well, HE literally flipped a switch inside me today.  I would like to say that it is a great honor to give up everything for HIM.  Nothing in this world is worth anything without HIM.  HE is my everything, my reason for living.  HE made me, HE placed every hair on my head, and HE will be the one to take it away!  I look at it like this, I am an Israelite, and I am standing facing the Red Sea, JESUS is on the other side of the Red Sea, and all the "stuff" that has made me nice and comfortable in my life, house, 10 pairs of shoes, 14 pillows, I could go on but you get the point.  That stuff is my Red Sea right now.  And I have to weed through it to get closer to my JESUS.  What does that look like?  Right now one day at a time.  Just one day.  Each one beautifully made by HIM.  I don't know what all of this will look like when it is done, and I really don't care, when HE is ready for us to know, HE will tell us.  I really need to learn to trust HIM more, so that is what I am working on with HIM.  NOT trying to figure out what HE is doing and just let HIM lead and me to walk with HIM.  It is going to be an interesting journey of HIS faithfulness!

Our day of worship was so awesome, the presence of GOD was so thick!  Michael was there, JESUS, YOU are the only one who can change his heart!  When we were getting ready to leave tonight we saw Mama Mary.  We gave her a ride to where she is staying, I sure do love that lady!  She said Mr. Bennys feet were not good.  I need to check on him, or see if someone from the team that he knows can check on him.  She let me pray for her, I prayed that GOD would change her heart, and mine.  I prayed that JESUS would renew her spirit and her mind, and mine.

We all just need more of HIM.  Nothing of or in this world will make us happy, just more JESUS.
Oh, how HE makes my heart sing!
